I’ve been neglecting my blog. The reasons lie simply within this blogpost from the Freedom Experiment — a post that I read while trying to cope with certain things in my life, which has been busy yes, but mostly has just been feeling out of sorts lately… That’s a whoooole separate conversation, one of which I’d be happy to have with you in person but will not promote via my blog. Call me old-fashioned, but I feel some conversations still require two-way interaction. Anyway, I’m trying to get back into the groove after trying to simplify my life for a while (thus neglecting my blog) and here I am, blogging once again!

Here are some visual representations of things I adore about Fall… squash from the garden, future birdseed, my animals, and my downtime… Bliss.

…and happy birthday to my Daddio too.

I want to quickly blog the gift I made for my mom for Mother’s Day. It’s made of barn wood from our old barn and yes I did cut, drill, carve, paint, and sand this thing. My mom loves when I get creative, and I love to see her tear up when she opens her gifts. I am her favorite daughter indeed.

Also, I want to throw in last year’s gift for my momma {flashback to my blog post one year ago}.

{a quick expression to keep me blogging}

The lingering cloud was so cool.

Happy Friday! Don’t worry, the dog days aren’t over yet. Don’t let Florence tell you different.
